Rezepte zum Nachmachen.. :-)

 

German Pancakes.
[not American but still sooooo good!] 

 

4 Eier

400g (14 oz) Mehl

100ml (0.4 cup) Wasser

400ml (1.7 cups) Milch

1 Pck. Vanillezucker (oder - falls in der riesigen Essenskammer nicht zu finden - einfach "vanilla flavour" aus der Flasche :-P)

200g (7 oz) Zucker

1 Prise Salz

(1 Apfel)

 

1. Eier trennen, Eiweiß schaumig schlagen

2. alle weiteren Zutaten (außer den Apfel) in eine Schüssel geben und mit dem Mixer mischen; anschließend Eischnee untermischen

(3. Äpfel schälen, in kleine Scheiben schneiden, zum Teig geben)

4. Öl in einer Pfanne erhitzen; Teig beidseitig ausbacken, bis der Pfannkuchen goldbraun ist

5. je nach Geschmack mit z.B. Sirup, Nutella o.Ä. bestreichen und genießen - yummy! :-)

 

Devil Dogs.

 

0.5 cup shortening

1 egg

1 cup sugar

0.75 tsp baking soda

1 cup water

2 cup flour

0.5 tsp salt

0.5 cup cocoa

 

Filling - 0.75 cup confectioner sugar

0.75 cup marshmallow fluff

0.75 cup shortening

1 tsp vanilla

 

Cream shortening, egg and sugar.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400° F for ten minutes.

When cookies are cool, remove with a spatula.

Beat filling and sandwich filling between two cookies.

 

Noodle Pudding - Sweet Kugel.

 

8 oz fine noodles (cooked)

0.5 box white raisins (optional)

8 eggs

8 oz cream cheese

2 sticks butter

1 heaping cup sugar

1 pint sour cream (1 pint = 16 oz)

1 heaping teaspoon vanilla

1 pinch salt

 

Grease glass 13 inch pan line w/noodles.

Beat eggs and mix rest of ingredients.

Pour over noodles (and add raisins).

Cook 350°F for 1-1/2 hour.

 

Pancakes.

 

1,5 cups all-purpose flour

3,5 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 1/4 cups milk

1 egg

3 tablespoons butter, melted

 

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.


Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
